Yes, I want to see democracy and labor triumphant. Since you want to protect the sovereignty of the state that is organizing the class war against workers, can I expect you to stop being so hypocritical as to pretend to be concerned about workers’ wages?
Unfortunately you are displaying the narrow vision that is permeating our populace these days. Workers' wages are an example of that. Those of you who want a higher federal minimum wage don't take the different parts of the country in consideration. Cost of living is very different in different parts. A federal minimum wage is ridiculous.
Another aspect of narrow vision is the fact that zeroing in on one factor such as wage doesn't allow for it being only one facet in a much bigger picture. As wages go up it will cause virtually everything else to increase also. A big enough jump can cause some serious inflation. That's a really serious problem for people on fixed incomes.
Another thing that gets mentioned pretty often is the fact that people cannot support their families on the low wages at places like Mickey D's. Those jobs are entry level to help young people learn to follow directions and develop work ethics. Most move on and up after that. The incentive is there.
When you focus on small individual pieces of a very big picture you cannot see that big picture.
