Donald Trump claims, no doubt due to his rivalry with Ron DeSantis, that Florida is "the worst in the country" when it comes to crime, education, affordability, and Covid deaths. Is he right?
Well, Alaska and 24 other states have more violent crime (Maine is least violent).
U.S. News ranks Florida the 3rd-best state for education (behind only New Jersey and Massachusetts) ... New Mexico is rated worst.
Hawaii and 18 other states are considered less affordable than Florida (Mississippi is most affordable).
Arizona and 11 other states had higher Covid death rates (Hawaii's was lowest).
Trump was exaggerating at best and (when it comes to education) telling a whopper.
But that'll be sure to get him back in the White House, insulting Florida and New Hampshire (which he called a "drug-infested den") ... he should probably go ahead and attack Iowa and Michigan next if he knows what's good for him.
