Virus stuff

Boca

Governor

Many people thought that the poliovirus was extinct across the majority of the world, as the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared many continents polio-free.

So this may come as a surprise, but in fact, polio cases have been on the rise globally since 2016, and this resurgent outbreak is related to the use of vaccines.

The new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 guidance is the agency acknowledging it was wrong in the past to downplay natural immunity and promote unprecedented policies like asymptomatic testing, a California epidemiologist says.

The new guidance, released on Aug. 11, rescinds and alters a number of key recommendations, including treating unvaccinated and vaccinated people differently for many purposes, explicitly stating that people with previous infection have protection against severe illness, and removing six-foot social distancing advice.

Almost as if it is impossible to improve the public health of the U.S. without at the same time improving the public health of the rest of the world.
…especially when our government rejects its primary duty to protect it’s citizens in favor of extra-constitutional whim like opening borders to the pouring in of unknowns in unprecedented volumes. Citizens can be (and are) subject to all manner of requirements and compliance gauntlets including vaxx requirements and tight testing windows to travel back to their OWN HOMES from abroad. Not so with the unvetted, unknown foreign border-crashers. They receive NO requirements of testing nor vaxx as they are waved in by the hundreds of thousands to places NOT THEIR HOMES.

Yes, our government HATES us…and, yes, formerly controlled or eradicated diseases will be and are making a comeback.

Dude, if you want borders like North Korea... then be prepared to turn America into the great economic success that North Korea.

Freedom of movement is critical for economic successs.

You are saying instead of making ourselves safer and richer at the same time by improving the global vaccination rates, we should make ourselves poorer and less safe by closing off the borders because of no other reason than xenophobia.

I don't and wouldn't know anything about you if you didn't post it like your picture of your condo in Cambodia

I'm far from obsessed of YOU especially when you posted you would pay for the vaccine and jump ahead of even your kin folks and refuse to repay your student loans as that's some type Honor.

It's understandable why you're afraid of dying///

N. Korea is the kind of hermetically sealed society you seem to want and they still have Covid. Mass immigration is not a “whim”—it is structurally essential to the economy and therefore to avoiding national collapse. The decision to restrict legal immigration in order that those forced by the market to immigrate can be discriminated against more readily of course does lead to less testing and vaccination which is why we would all be safer if we went back to the policy of essentially unrestricted immigration that (with a few exceptions) the U.S. had when it was achieving its biggest successes.

That wasn’t the argument. The argument was of the form, “Your claim was that no murderers had brown hair. But Ted Bundy was a murderer and he had brown hair. Therefore having brown hair does not preclude being a murderer.”

He wouldn't understand the difference. Nor would he even admit it if he did.
