I have been using coconut oil for a while now.
Same with me Carol Jo. I may go out and try to find some lard.
I know butter is better for you than margarine. We just can't win.

I have been avoiding artificial stuff for almost 30 years now. I cook with coconut oil. Thanks JO.
Since I have been exercising regularly my blood tests have come back fine.
I was using Canola oil. They just announced that is the 5TH worst.
I am returning to normal foods and leaving the artificial behind. After reading how your body reacts to artificial.

That is funny because I have always loved Olives. Green ones, though.
How about you starting a Health thread? Think many would join in. Works on other boards.
I stopped buying margarine years ago when I heard it was one ingredient away from plastic! Don't know how true that is but it didn't sound good. Besides....butter tastes better anyway.

Crisco has a coconut oil that I've been using lately.
I am not sure it's the best one.
There are some with a little coconut taste and some without...........I like both and switch depending on the flavor I want or don't want.
I like olive oil on some things, but not everything and you have to be careful cooking with olive oil because some of the extra virgin sort has a smoke point that is really too low for cooking.[/QUOTE
I love Coconut. I have been making Strawberry cake with Cream Cheese icing wirh Coconut to take to our Senior Luncheons. Caterers raised the price so the Committee decided to bake to cut costs to our Seniors. Each member takes a turn. I left that Church, Jen for a great one, Methodist. They have Sermons about the things we face today. A series on stress with the Bible woven in. But can not get away from the group.
Olive Oil is not good to cook with. I Googled several on the Coconut oil.. Will search them out today.
I once had fresh Coconut Ice Cream on the top of a Saint John mountain. It would be worth it to go back.
Now, I have gone from healthy to Sweets. sorry.

Butter is still cow fatWord Usage Is a Whodunit Crime Story
Why do they use Greek-derived words for protein and carbohydrate, but not lipoid for dietary fat? Eating lipoids does not make people fat.
The reason for this intentional confusion is that eating animal products create courage, a leftover from prehistory, when it took a lot of courage to kill a wild animal. The Illiterate Liberal Language Lords fear the fearless.
Lab Rats Are RodentsI was taking a statin drug for cholesterol for quite a while, then i was told because my "good" cholesterol was so high, I really didn't have to worry about the bad. Now they're saying that doesn't make a difference, if your bad is bad, it's bad! WTH? Seems every time you turn around something that WAS good for you is not BAD.....or what was BAD for you is now GOOD. It gets to a point where you don't know what to believe!!
Lab Rats Are Rodents
PhDs who invent those tainted drugs are Mamas' Boys who don't earn a living until they are 30 years old. It is a vicious lie that creative intelligence is not severely crippled and distorted by a High IQ's childishness, escapism, and conformist cowardice.
Big pharma does not sell drugs, doctors do.Snake oil from Snakes
Pharmaceutical companies will tell you whatever the hell they need to to sell you the drug.

Science Is for Suckers
That is a direct result of the grand-larceny exploitation of lab workers, who are forced to sign a contract giving all the profits from what they alone created to the inferior intelligence that owns the corp. So those subhuman plutocrats treat their customers the same way as they treat their gutless geek pushovers.
Pharma sells to no one, except pharmacies that need doctors to release the drug. No doctors no issueshmmm. no
they prescribe drugs.
So yes they do. They sell to pharmacies. They also influence prescribers when they get to prescribe their medications, which in turn drives salesPharma sells to no one, except pharmacies that need doctors to release the drug. No doctors no issues
