I think he proposed balanced budget proposals that were shot down. But since he voted for deficit spending then he was part of the problem.

The other issue is when they come to an impass and shut down the government the media goes crazy saying how bad that is for the country when in fact it has almost no affect. So politicians succumb to the media pressure and vote through an unbalanced budget.

We should just shut down until its a balanced budget. Of course shut down still means 70% is open but it just shows the waste there is that could be cut out.

We should have an ammendment to the constitution that says we have to have a balanced budget in times of no wars with nation states.

Paul Ryan was a joke. I hated him before his plan to save America. Gave him credit for at least attempting to make a plan (albeit a stupid one) and I tolerated him and then once again began hating him when he became the worst speaker of the house just ahead of Pelosi and Hastert.
