The point is being missed, or should i say ignored. In the garage Hunter had access to the documents. We don't know how many were there in the beginning or how many he may have taken, and for what purpose? Some were left and taken by the FBI. Who might have the others?

Would you care to make the same questions of the documents stored in Trump's desk and an unlocked storage space at Mar-A-Lago?

Did Trump's kids have access to those documents? How about Rudy or Sydney? Who, of the frequent guests at the public club had access to them?

Here are the relevant issues, as far as I can tell...

1. Who selected government documents to be illegally removed from either the White House or the VP office. That would be a crime.
2. If Trump or Biden knew there were government documents in the things being removed, storing them in insecure locations is another crime, where classified documents are concerned.

When told there were documents that had illegally been taken from the WH/VP office, what did they do? Trump argued for a year that the documents were his, until finally being returned. Biden sent them back the next day.

The Mueller report also states that there is insufficient evidence of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia. There was enough evidence to investigate.
