Biden and Harris are out around the country making speeches touting "Bidenomics" trying to convince people that his policies are making everybody more secure. Oh some of you might be doing well enough with your stock investments I'm holding my own. but overall folks are hurting.

Despite the Biden administration's efforts to tout the alleged successes of "Bidenomics," a report from the United States Census Bureau has revealed that many Americans saw their economic situation deteriorate dramatically in the first half of Biden's term.

While the official poverty rate hovered around 11.5% in both 2021 and 2022, according to the report, the Supplemental Poverty Measure (SPM) increased 4.6% in 2022 to reach 12.4%, marking the first overall increase in that metric since 2010. In total, 37.9 million Americans lived in poverty in 2022. The report partially attributed the increase to the expiration of tax credits credits and pandemic stimulus payments.

Income, meanwhile, dropped across an array of metrics. Real median household income declined by 2.3% from $76,330 to $74,580, while real median earnings of all workers dropped 2.2%. The drop was less severe among full-time, year-round workers, who saw a 1.3% decline. Inflation soared 7.8% from 2021 to 2022, marking the largest single-year increase in cost of living since 1981.

The Census Bureau statement follows some other bad economic news for the president. The unemployment rate in August rose from 3.5% to 3.8% while inflation ticked up to 3.2%, marking the first increase after a consistent, year-long decline.

Uh oh. I’m afraid your effusive delight and praise of the current administration is not in evidence in the above post, and must therefore be met with swarms of dullard human shields who simply must deny unflattering facts…and submit in their place carefully selected items that aren’t so negative.

Attention shut-in kook human shields: Deploy! Deploy! Aaaaa-oooogah!

Homelessness among boomers is on the rise as well.

It would be right tricky to live on $800 per month. The rumor is that they don't want us to have anything of our own. People need to plan early and try not to let themselves be dependent on anybody. The lady trusted the wrong person.
True, but rising prices make it harder and harder for people with fixed incomes to stay in the homes they own. Especially when you have to choose between food and heat. Once they lose their home, they'll never be able to afford to live in their own home or apartment again.

Poverty went up because every REPUBLICAN and your backpocket GOP Joe Manchin voted against the measure that lowered poverty. Now you are trying to blame Biden for the direct actions of GOPers.

Deplorable.

You're quite right. It costs a lot to get into a place even after all the deposits are covered. People almost have no choice except to live in groups in a case like that.

While it's no question that raising kids can be an expensive procedure, that in itself is not the only reason that poverty has increased. People got too comfortable living on the extra monies that the gov't provided for a couple of. years. As it became possible for them to go to work many of them decided it was more comfortable not to. Instead of using that money to square away their living situation, many of them treated themselves to niceties.

I do understand the kid thing. When my ex and I split he became a dead bead dad and I spent 10 years feeding, clothing and housing 4 kids with almost no help from anybody. It was rough but I never took a penny of welfare. You have to work hard and smart.

Simple fact is that the Dems tried to prevent this and the GOP made sure it happened.
Now the GOPers are weaponizing the very poverty measure they created.

Why don't they take credit and say that is what they knew would happen and it's what they intended to happen instead of blaming the Biden ?

And many democrats. Manchun is a senator so I doubt he had any input since it didn't pass the house.
Not true: House resolutions are not vote on by the senate unless they pass the House, because the House as to allocate the funding for bills.

Let's see if Republicans use their power to cut poverty in half or will they do what they always to rob the poor to give to the rich.

As often happens you've gotten it backwards. It's the Dems who keep wanting people to become mooches with their hands out looking for and expecting freebies. The more useless they become, the easier they are to control.

The GOP wants people to stay in poverty.
Their efforts and the results of those efforts are right here in front of your face.
Tax breaks for the rich, so they have more than they need, and taking tax breaks from those who are working and at the edge of poverty, pushing half of them into poverty.

Deplorable.

It's a case study in how Democrat elite know the people who support them are idiots (with the exception of a handful of Republicans, they are no better). Just keep repeating the lies over and over and over again.

Our economy and the country in general is in real trouble.

So, then your contention is that we can never withdraw emergency funding once it's been implemented, since it will always negatively impact those who benefit from it.

LOL

Not a covid emergency, no. If it is an emergency, then Biden should declare it and appropriate funds through the legal way.
You says Biden should fix it because GOP'ers have become too dependent upon the Democrats coming in behind you to fix the messes you create.

Republicans control the House, only they have power to appropriate funds and then make the case to their base that this needs to be done. This is their doing, so they should take the steps to correct it, not Biden.

Let's see what they do.
My guess is they'll do Jack Shite except complain and get their media to blame Biden for horrible governing decision.
