You says Biden should fix it because GOP'ers have become too dependent upon the Democrats coming in behind you to fix the messes you create.

Republicans control the House, only they have power to appropriate funds and then make the case to their base that this needs to be done. This is their doing, so they should take the steps to correct it, not Biden.

Let's see what they do.
My guess is they'll do Jack Shite except complain and get their media to blame Biden for horrible governing decision.
I'm saying that Biden withdrew the emergency, so the emergency funding needs to stop.

Republican blocked extending the tax break.
They control the money.
So it is up to them to fix it.
No more competent governing handouts from the Democrats.
It's up to "republicans" i.e. the house, to look after tax payers as well. We can't keep emergency funding going when there is no emergency. This is the problem with paying people to stay home, they get accustomed to it and when the funding ends, they are at a loss. It's one of the dangers of an overly generous welfare state. AND one of the problems with depending on government to fix your life, especially when they're the ones who broke it in the first place.

Then why not raise corporate taxes instead of removing a tax break that then doubles the poverty rate. I guess GOP'ers think that tax cuts on top of allowing price gouging record profits on the backs of the same folks they threw into poverty is the Republican way.

Bet then again it always has been the party of the Elites.

Hey, great idea, get the people who employ others to help pay to keep people from having to work. /eyeroll

Why not just be responsible people?

Those tax credits are for people who work and pay taxes.
Your policies of making the rich richer have made the poor poorer.
Why do you keep trying to deny and spread disinformation to distort this very obvious truth.

It's becoming borderline evil.

It's funny you blame republicans for that when Biden is the one driving people out of their homes because they can't afford both heat and food. Homelessness is increasing under Biden.

I am well aware of the truth, and the people who cause it to be that way. Our problem is systemic and it comes from people who have no idea how to run an economy.

Whataboutism instead of an honest confession.
Typical GOP'er response.

Republicans created the systemic problem.
Your reverse Robin hood policies did this.

Your charts end at the end of the Obama administration.
You mean after Bush cut taxes twice for the 1% and then handed Obama a crashed economy ? Then GOP'ers later demanded a repeal to the sun setting of the Bush tax cuts or they'd kick millions off of unemployment. Even though there were still 8 - 16 jobs seekers for every job opening. Just another example of GOP'ers increasing poverty in order to serve the financial elites.

I mean they have nothing to do with the current homelessness being experienced by people who are victims of Biden's economy.

Because that would be the GOP's blocking of tax relief for workers at the bottom.

All these roads lead back to Republican efforts.

While it's no question that raising kids can be an expensive procedure, that in itself is not the only reason that poverty has increased. People got too comfortable living on the extra monies that the gov't provided for a couple of. years. As it became possible for them to go to work many of them decided it was more comfortable not to. Instead of using that money to square away their living situation, many of them treated themselves to niceties.

I do understand the kid thing. When my ex and I split he became a dead bead dad and I spent 10 years feeding, clothing and housing 4 kids with almost no help from anybody. It was rough but I never took a penny of welfare. You have to work hard and smart.
I don't think that's the explanation. After all, unemployment is at an all-time low. Sounds more like the problem is low wages and high prices.

One reason unemployment is low is because of the number of people who have dropped out of it. I wouldn't say there's only one reason for the poverty but as a small business owner I can say how difficult it is to find anybody to work. My business caters to other businesses and they all say the same thing.

Because so many people are already working, for higher wages.

Well sure, any form of leftie mental masturbation always brings it back to republicans. Here in the real world, we know better. :)

The poor don't pay federal taxes, especially if they have children. they are the beneficiaries of federal largesse, which is the tax money of all of the people who do pay into the federal government.

Baby boomers are retiring and can only afford $12 an hour for some poor CNA to wipe their butts at a senior home in Florida.
