Now you see why treating the pandemic as problem that with at the local level is an ineffective way of going about it. All it takes is one locality or company such as Starbucks to make poor decisions to prolong and worsen the pandemic.

Which is why the authority to do so was vested in each of the states so that they could address such shoddy application.

Victory for Biden supporters? Any new rise in covid numbers can now be blamed on Starbucks and the Supreme Court, thus absolving the guy in charge.

And since the most important thing for the usual suspects is that Joe never be held accountable for anything that occurs on his watch, that's a win, baby!

Sane people don’t think Biden should be held accountable for the results when others sabotage his policies designed to avoid those results.

Just so you know.

Who would have thought that the SCOTUS wingers would give so little a shit about the thousands who will die due to their covidiocy, which Starbucks cited when changing its policy?

Who would have thought that Congress wouldn't have taken the necessary steps to delegate the authority to OSHA through proper procedural channels such that the scotus would not be placed in a position to interpret the law as it stands correctly, thereby affecting thousands who will die due to congress's covidiocy, leaving Starbucks with no choice but to change its policy...

Well, I have asked you many times to cite to a provision of the OSHA enabling legislation drawing a distinction between non-viral toxins and viral toxins. Nada. The SCOTUS wingers just decided that they make better policy that OSHA, fulfilling the GOP agenda.

And just for kicks, even if you assumed that OSHA did not have authority under its enabling legislation, you know that the Republicans in Congress would never provide it.

Bottom line - thousands of people will die unnecessarily.

I don't believe that there's a provision to cite. OSHA was not seated or granted or enabled with any authority to enact mandates that extend to events outside the workplace.. at least that is my understanding. Mandating a vaccine in the context of an event that extends and is pervasive outside the workplace it's outside the scope of its authority. Hence the ruling. Perhaps the courts will revisit the testing requirement
